USING AMATEUR RADIO STATIONS

Introduction | Supplement | Questions | Quiz
INTRODUCTION

To install and operate an amateur radio station, individuals must be holders of an Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with appropriate qualifications.

The owner and operator share the responsibility for the proper operation of an amateur radio station.

Where the owner is unable to be in control of the operation an amateur radio station, the owner may choose any qualified amateur radio operator to be the control operator. The control operator must be able to control the operation of transmitting equipment at the station's control point.

Unqualified persons may operate amateur radio stations only under the supervision and in the presence of the holder of an Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with appropriate qualifications.
