Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) is the national organization for Canada’s 75,000 qualified Radio Amateurs. RAC is recognized by the Government of Canada’s department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) as the representative for the interests of Amateur Radio in Canada. RAC is the Canadian member society of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).
RAC is an almost all-volunteer organization. Our volunteers promote and defend the interests of Amateur Radio at all levels of government in Canada and overseas. We publish an excellent journal six times each year. Each issue of the Canadian Amateur (TCA) magazine contains sixty-four pages of technical articles, information on regulatory matters, and details about activities on the air.
